Q   My wonderful dog Squeak unraveled about a 6x6 inch triange on the edge of our berber carpet. I managed to weave most of it back in, but it does look bad. I have scrap pieces, is there some way to repair it by cutting out the bad piece and putting in a new piece, considering it is on the edge of the carpet? Thanks Ann

A   A good installer can cut out the bad by cutting between the loops. Then he can glue in the scrap. This is fairly simple for a good, experienced installer.

Many Thanks, Jim Brothers
