Q
My 2 year old is allergic to dust mites. I've been told that Berber carpeting is non porous so dust mites will not attach to this type of carpet. Is this true? Thanks!
A
Olefin Berbers are non pourus as far as color goes...
You might also look at commercial carpets that are treated to be antimicrobial... Barrett makes a few like this as do other manufacturers.
Most carpets are actually a good choice in fighting Dust Mites... as they prevent them from becoming air born and they will be vacumned up in the cleaning process with a good vacumn.
I hope this helps...
all the best
