Nourison to expand into New York showroom
SADDLE BROOK, N.J.—Nourison has signed a lease at 295 Fifth Avenue in New York City for its newest showroom. The three-level space, scheduled to open this spring, includes a ground floor with Fifth Avenue frontage and is more than 10,000 square feet. It will showcase the company’s home accent and area rug programs for national accounts. “The success and growth of our home scatter and seasonal accent rugs led to our decision to expand to a larger showroom that’s better suited to servicing our important national retailers,” said Alex Peykar, president. “As a New York corporation with roots throughout the state, we’re proud to call this great Manhattan location home,” he explained. “We intend to continue to lead the industry in color, design and innovative construction, and will now showcase our products and programs from one of the world’s most prestigious addresses.” Home to some of the world’s largest and best known home fashions manufacturers, the new Fifth Avenue location will offer greater visibility and convenience for buyers based in Manhattan or visiting from all over the world. The new showroom will also be home to Nourison’s hospitality, custom area rug and decorative pillow divisions, as well as the mill’s brand portfolio. Its core programs, including all of its signature area rug and broadloom products, will continue to be shown exclusively at the company’s world headquarters in Saddle Brook, N.J., and its showrooms in Atlanta, Las Vegas and Zurich, Switzerland. Nourison’s New York showroom will be permanently staffed for appointments, walk-ins and market events. It is not open to the public.
