Complete Paint Effects Complete Paint Effects explores three of the most popular and enduring techniques: paint effects, stenciling and stamping. There are over 55 projects to suit every kind of decorative style, from the bright and contemporary to the traditional and classical. The first section, Paint Effects, shows how you can create different effects and moods using soothing or bold colors. There are enticing ideas for lime-washed walls or a front hallway using traditional green colors. For a more modern look, comb a pattern on your floor in oranges or reds. There are also ideas for decorating furniture and accessories. The second section, Stenciling, looks at an ever-popular technique that can be used as a border around a room, as an all-over pattern or to provide subtle accents in a larger room scheme. The final section, Stamping, explores one of the newest, most innovative decorating techniques and a quick, accessible and effective alternative to stenciling. Effects can range from bold motifs to intricate designs hand-tinted with watercolors and can be applied to any surface.
